Yachtco is officially open for business!
In the last few months, we have been tirelessly working on designing and developing our yachting platform. After countless hours and tons of coffee, it is finally here! From December 26th, 2019 (CET), we are officially open for business.
What is Yachtco all about?
Yachtco is a yachting platform that connects a couple of sectors in the yachting industry. It is designed for people looking to rent boats, skippers, charter agencies, fleet operators, boat owners, marinas, insurance companies, boat builders, and everyone else that is in business or has interest in yachting or boating.
1) Boat Booking Charter Agency
Yachtco is a charter agency with the largest network of charter boats in more than 150 destinations around the world: Croatia, Greece, Turkey, the Caribbean, Spain, Thailand, Montenegro, Seychelles, Italy, Tahiti, Cape Verde, Malta, Portugal, Slovenia, and France.
Yachtco can offer bareboat, crewed or skippered rental of boats of all types including rentals of catamarans, sailboats, motorboats, gulets, and luxury yachts.

2) Yachting News
Yachting news is a free service for companies or everyone else involved in yachting or boating to share and distribute their news.
Posting news is bringing companies another marketing channel to reach out to the world and their readers. It also allows improving their website search engine rankings with links to their websites.
3) Yachting Jobs
Yachting Jobs is a free service for candidates looking for jobs in yachting and companies looking for candidates.
- Candidates can post their profile, look and apply for posted jobs
- Companies can look at candidates profiles, post their job listings and look at applications
4) Yachting Directory
Yachting Directory is a free directory for Charter Agencies, Fleet Operators, Boat owners, Marinas, Insurance Companies, Boat Builders, and everyone else that is in industry and wants to get listed.
Directory already has 1151 resources. All parties can list their business, for free, and post their description, email, website address, pictures, and location where people can contact or find them.
5) Yachting Marketplace
Yachting Marketplace is a free service for everyone trying to sell or buy new or used boats, boat equipment, safety equipment, or anything else related to nautic, boating or yachting.

Unsuccessful ICOs success story
In the past year, the Yachtco team tried to raise money for the development of the yachting platform by performing ICO (Initial Coin Offering). The ICO started in February 2019 and lasted until September 2019. The Yachtco team was not able to raise almost any money with public ICO — we raised 3.000 EUR from family members.
Overall, ICO was a failure, but the team decided to pull all resources together. With determination and months of hard work, they managed to develop a yachting platform with boat booking, news posting and reading, yachting jobs posting and reading, used and new stuff listings, and a list of companies with contact details, description, and location.
What is next for Yachtco?
We need to do a couple of things to follow up on opening platforms such as get the word out, contact partners regularly to start using our services, improve search engine rankings for platform and services, and other promotional activities.
Besides, we started with the development of the skipper booking platform, and we plan to launch it soon. Skippers will be able to post their profile and and share their availability and anyone looking for skipper will be able to find one.
What about Yachtco crypto? (YCHT)
For now we are are using YCHT (Yachtco cryptocurrency) as a discount token where people who are booking boats can get additional discount on booked boats — thus making a boat booking prices unbeatable on the whole market.
In future, we will implement other YCHT usage, such as payment for boats, or marinas, and other services.
